Why the name?
Our name, pronounced ‘kew-doe’, is taken from the ancient Japanese martial art of Kyudo: The way of the Bow. Kyudo is not just about hitting the target, but about the journey and the process involved in doing so. Here’s why we love to be known as Kyudo:

The Core Team
Kyudo is headed by John Burke – who has decades of experience driving and delivering innovation in the APAC market.
Our team has the consulting pedigree of the big-four, but with real-life experience and a practical, growth-focused approach to working with our clients. We also don’t carry the burden of maintaining a big-four brand, which keeps our costs reasonable and our capabilities agile.
We do not pursue growth at the expense of quality. Decades of experience is brought into all of our engagements, providing wisdom, not just billable time.
John Burke
John is founder and managing director at Kyudo.
A 20+ year industry veteran, John has helped large and small organisations to launch, improve and grow in the financial services and government sectors. He thinks strategically and thrives on challenging his clients to help them bring innovation to their work.
Darrel Prins
Darrell has decades of experience in superannuation administration and related technology platforms. His portfolio includes leadership roles in superannuation administration (IBM, Russell) and superannuation administration platform design and delivery (Bravura).
Bosa Togs
Bosa is based in Port Moresby and is an experienced IT Leader. Her background includes executive management of IT with PNG Telikom and Digital Inclusion program design and delivery with USAid and the Global Digital Inclusion Partnership in PNG.

Maryanne is an accomplished and award-winning communication and change management professional with a talent for making sense of complex information and communicating it in such a way that inspires people to think, feel or do. Vivienne’s career highlights have been the successful implementation of Superannuation Registry and Investment systems across multiple organisations that involved system configuration to tailor solutions to specific organisational needs, ensuring seamless integration and functionality, and facilitating accurate regulatory reporting and member statements.
